Sal later returned to Chicago's Humboldt Park at the age of 14 to reconnect with his father. In 2001, Sal was discovered and invited to audition for Chicago's Second City theatre where he won a three-year scholarship. In 2009 Sal made the decision to move to Los Angeles and fully pursue film and television.
