Stephan Mallmann, born 1965, started his film career in 1989 with a stint at a London-based distribution company, Recorded Releasing. In 1992 he joined German mini-major Constantin Film, but moved back to London in 1994, as Head of Business Affairs for Jeremy Thomas' production outfit, Recorded Picture Company. In 1998 he was a founding shareholder of Hanway Films, a company that quickly became a leading international sales agency. He served as C.O.O. for both Recorded Picture and Hanway from 1999 to 2012. In 2012 he moved back to his native Germany, retaining close links with Recorded Picture and Hanway, but also acting as an independent consultant and producer, often working with German producers (such as Wim Wenders' Neue Road Movies) on more ambitious international projects. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Stephan Mallmann
