Born in Caracas, Venezuela, on August 9, 1990, Alec's parents are from British and German-Polish descent. His father's profession, a commercial pilot, is the reason why Alec spent so much time traveling from a very early age during his childhood; making him fluent in both English and Spanish. He attended high school in Venezuela, where he performed in school plays and from which he graduated with honors. Alec struggled to decide where he would pursue further studies in acting and consequently avoided attending a highly regarded business school in the US. Going back to his British roots instead, Alec shifted continents and moved to the United Kingdom where he gained admittance to attend the renowned United World College of the Atlantic in Wales. Upon graduation, he obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma with majors in Theatre, Literature and Economics. As his passion for acting, films and theatre grew stronger, Alec, had the opportunity to be part of Ironclad (2011) after he asked producer Rick Benattar if he could audition for any of the smaller roles in the film. He got a very small role in one of the film's most important scenes where he met actors Paul Giamatti and Brian Cox. Shortly after, Alec applied to several important drama schools in England. He began his training in London at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, where the likes of Sir Laurence Olivier and Dame Judi Dench have left their marks. In 2011, a young 20 year-old Alec had the chance to audition for what would eventually become his first notable appearance in a feature film. Chosen to play one of the leading roles alongside Goya Award- winning actress Carme Elias, the film, La distancia más larga (2013) (The Longest Distance), directed by Claudia Pinto, went on to be part of the Official Selection at the Montreal World Film Festival for competition, where it was critically acclaimed and extraordinarily well received by critics and audiences. Alec played the role of Kayemó, a young man born and raised in the Amazon, with a dark past, who tries to redeem himself on his way back home. Following the film's success with international audiences, it was then to be honored with the Grand Prix Glaube Rocha for Best Latin American Film of the year. Alec now resides in between Los Angeles and London. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
