Shawn Tierney grew up in Kent, Ohio to Leanne and Ralph Tierney. He went to Field High School located in Mogadore, Ohio. During High School, he played several sports including Football and Track. He gained interest in both music (guitar, singing, and drums) and acting. He was part of the Field High School Choir for his final two years. Following High School, he joined the United States Air Force. He has been stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, and several units at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado. He met his wife at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and they married in February of 2011. They had their first child in 2012 at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida and their second child in 2013 at Fort Carson, Colorado.
