Barbara Enrichi was born in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, a small town in the heart of the Chianti region near Florence. The artistic schooling she received influenced her choice of career in a decisive way; in fact, after obtaining her diploma at the State Art School in Florence she opened a Graphic Studio which she still runs today. The artistic notions which Barbara Enrichi received led her to broaden her experiences and to express herself artistically in other sectors. She partecipated in all the Theatre Workshops held by Ugo Chiti in Tavarnelle acting for 14 years in almost all the plays put on by the Arca Azzurra Theatre Company. Some of the most important being : "Allegretto perbene ... ma non troppo", "La Provincia di Jimmy" and "Paesaggio con figure". She also acted in the play "Gianburrasca (un monello in casa Stoppani)" directed by Angelo Savelli from the Rifredi Theatre. Her debut in cinema came about in 1990 when Alessandro Benvenuti noticed her in a play and asked her to take part in the film "Benvenuti in Casa Gori" . In 1991 she worked with Francesco Nuti in the film "Donne con le Gonne" and then, after a pause in which she worked exclusively for the theatre, Leonardo Pieraccioni offerred her a small part in the film "I Laureati" and an artistic working relationship began. This relationship led Pieraccioni to include Barbara Enrichi in the artistic cast of "Il Ciclone" (1996) - a huge success, and in "Fuochi d'Artificio" (1997). With "Il Ciclone", where she interpreted a difficult part which required all her talent, Barbara Enrichi won the "David di Donatello" award as best actress in a supporting role and became well-known. In the same year (1996), with Ugo Chiti, she acted in the film "Albergo Roma" which was successfullly presented at the 53rd Venice Film Festival and in Alessandro Benvenuti's "Ritorno a Casa Gori". Comic roles have led her to become known to the wide public but Barbara Enrichi willingly interprets dramatic roles like those she interpreted in the theatre for many years, or like those in the film "Prima la musica ...poi le parole" by Fulvio Wetzl (1998) which received many compliments for its excellent script. In 1998 she also did 2 comedies - "I Volontari" by Domenico Costanzo, and "Donne in Bianco" by Tonino Pulci, where she had the opportunity to play a leading part in a story about three women. At the beginning of 1999 her first experiences in television came about : in a programme called "Ciro" - an 11-part comic series on the Italia 1 channel with Lucio Pellegrini, the author of the programme. Then she acted in a film directed by the Tuscan brothers Antonio and Andrea Frazzi : "Il Cielo cade" which enabled her to interpret one of the most intense roles of her career. She will make a "return" to the theatre in a show written and directed by Alessandro Benvenuti in Winter 1999/2000. The show will be entitled "Contorno e la prontezza di Rosina" and Barbara will act alongside Stefano Bicocchi (in art: Vito). - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
