Maria Giovanna Viola Jefferson was born on April 8, 1976 in Pine Hill, New Jersey, to Sicilian immigrant parents. She found her love for writing in the third grade, where she wrote her first book of original poems and entered it into a contest. In high school, she continued her passion for writing along with illustration, and planned to pursue a career in Advertisement after high school. Instead, she went to Nursing School and graduated with her BSN from Rowan University. After working as a nurse in New Jersey for nearly twenty years, her passion for writing and illustration resurfaced and led to her first self-published children's book titled, "Lefty Lucy for President (2017)". Afterwards, a few television pilots were written, in which "Offstage Elements (2018)", eventually developed into a screenplay and her first feature film. Maria took on the role, not only as the writer/creator, but also as Producer and Executive Producer. She recently completed another feature length screenplay and is working on producing television series, "Happyland (2019)" with writer/actor, Michael McFadden, in addition to feature film, "Desert Dick (2019)", with Don't Go There Productions. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Maria Viola Jefferson
