Born in 1978 in Northampton, ENGLAND, Alon is the son of successful Author of Adult & Child Fiction Sue Bentley and former band manager Graham Bentley. Coming from such a creative background certainly meant that his childhood was less than ordinary. One poignant memory being falling asleep in a speaker case during Bauhaus's video shoot for Ziggy Stardust. Bauhaus was just one of the bands that his dad managed through the years and that Alon gave his bedroom up to. It makes sense that Alon would naturally gravitate towards making his own music. After honing his craft in an acoustic duo & shining through on opens Mic nights here and on the other side of the Atlantic, Alon was inspired by American rockers Creed to turn up the distortion and see what would happen. In 2006 his band, Last Stop China Town finally released their debut album Vital Signs, on Woodhill Records. The album spawned 2 singles in Just Ashes and double A-side Opinions Collide/Soldiers of Fortune. Alon picked up a co-director credit for the tongue in cheek video for Soldiers of Fortune that pays homage to the influential 80's TV show The A-Team. After the band's debut album in 2006 they toured constantly conquering the UK, Europe and beyond before the eventual follow up was released in 2009. Into The Volcano brought a new sound and even a new line-up. Although it had it's moments of genius, on the whole Alon was despondent with the result and decided to hang up his microphone to concentrate on his true love - MOVIES!! The plan all along was to make the cross-over to movies once his band had gone multi-platinum. Unfortunately this never happened so instead he left the comfort of an industry that he was born into and sought some training. All the years of performing on stage gave Alon a running start. Towards the end of 2012 Alon took his years of experience and wrote a feature length screenplay and then a sitcom loosely based on what his band went through on the road. In September 2014 Alon was finally able to shoot the pilot for his TV series entitled Sex, Drugs and Veggie Spring Rolls.
