Emmy Award winning talent Jan Jeffcoat has been a guest star on several television shows including NBC's "This is Us", Fox's "911", as well as Netflix's "What If" and a show soon-to-be-launched on Apple TV. She was also a supporting actress for the Lifetime movie "My Daughter Was Stolen". Prior to her acting roles, Jan anchored the weekday evening and morning newscasts for WUSA9 in Washington, D.C. for 5 years. While in D.C., she covered some of the biggest news stories making national headlines including anchoring coverage of the 2017 Presidential Inauguration. She was also a guest co-host for the Emmy Award winning daytime show on CBS, The Talk. Before joining the CBS affiliate, Jan hosted and helped launch the national news magazine show "The List" for Scripps Networks. From 2007 to 2012, she anchored Good Day Chicago which received an Associated Press Award for Best Newscast. She also received a 2011 Edward R. Murrow and 2010 Emmy Award for her 30 minute documentary while covering the devastation in Haiti after the earthquake. In 2010, Jan was named young Alumnus of the Year from her Alma Mater USC. Jan came to Chicago from Houston where she was the morning anchor for FOX 26 Morning News from 5 to 9 a.m. While in Houston, she garnered two Emmy Nominations for Best Anchor in 2006 and 2007 including Best Feature Story and also two Texas Associated Press awards for Best Anchor. In 2005 and 2006 Jan received two Star Award Nominations by the American Women of Radio and Television for Best On-Air Personality in Houston. She was also voted a "Top Houston Professional on the fast track" by H-Texas Magazine. Her first month in Houston, Jan co-anchored breaking news coverage of a beltway plane crash that was nominated for a regional Emmy. In June of 2006, Jan was a special guest co-host on the Montel Williams show for an episode called Newsmakers Changing Lives. Also in Houston, she anchored uninterrupted coverage of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and also anchored and reported from Chicago during the 2005 World Series when the Houston Astros played the Chicago White Sox. Before coming to Houston, Jan was the morning and noon anchor for two highly successful shows at the CBS affiliate, WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. While in North Carolina, Jan hosted the pep rally for the Continental Tire Bowl and was voted in the "Best of Charlotte" series in 2003. Jan's television career began at the age of 12 when she hosted a children's program in her hometown but her first reporting job was in Tallahassee, Florida.
