Connie Jo Sechrist aka CJ, is a bi-coastal actress/producer with over 10 years of experience in Theatre, Television and Film. Connie Jo is best know for her work in drama, action and sci-fi genre films and as a recurring TV Host for a public-access television station; KCTH Comcast 27. She was born in 1984 in San Jose, CA and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Los Angeles. The youngest of two children of Cathy Thordsen and Curt Sechrist. She is of Scandinavian, Spanish and Greek descent. Connie became interested in acting after getting involved with the theatre department at Westmont High School in Campbell, California where she became Vice President of the Thespian Society & Drama Club and graduated with honors in 2002. Afterwards receiving a Bachelor of Science in Theater Arts at UC Santa Cruz's in 2007. Her film acting breakthrough came shortly after as the lead in the independent short film, "Life". A personal life story about a young woman, who through a one night stand gives up her baby for a better future. This was then turned into a PSA for the Safe Haven Program, ran on the LA county website and was nominated for an Emmy in 2009. Since then she has produced over 7 short films, 3 web series and has landed roles in award winning independent films such as Bandito (2011), God Hates Zombies (2012), I's (2013), Anonymous (2014), The Astronaut (2015) and Real Artists (2017).
